For two men of such lumberjack proportions, Robert Tagliapietra and Jeffrey Costello have some of the most petal-delicate dresses in the business this season. For Fall 2012, their signature carefully draped wrap dresses made for a decidedly ladylike collection that at times evoked kimonos and tunics. The prints, reminiscent of dandelion pods and flowing hair, were much akin to their earlier work, just in broader, more painterly strokes. Bold heels and a rich, autumnal palette - burnt orange, ochre, and slate blue repeated - kept the clothes from getting too sweet, and made for a thoroughly wearable line.
