The presentation recalled a midsummer picnic during the golden hour, complete with happily warm yellows and syrupy golds. Interactive models played together amongst the adorable tableaus of grassy cocktails and a speakeasy bar. Most fascinating was the unspoken romantic chemistry between the male of female models – was it cheeky? Naughty? Innocent? After all, summer picnics have earned their reputation as a date-worthy activity and it was precisely this uncertainty that was being channeled. Easy lights knits and silks in hazy neutrals were punctuated by bright blues, recalling the sky right before the sun sets. This collection felt just so summery and seemed so perfect for the vacationing couple, it’s hard to imagine that the colder weather is setting in soon. Oh well, a little summer nostalgia is just the thing to give us something to look forward to during the winter months.
