Tess Giberson's Resort 2013 collection is notable for use of color and as her first resort season. The light and airy collection works well for the season, highlighted by the neon-green pumps in the images here. The press release enclosed below provides more information about the collection.

In Tess Giberson’s Resort 2013 Collection, REASSEMBLE, nostalgic concepts are made modern though color and fabric usage. Reappropriation is also explored through moods taken from frame of reference.

The collection offers harder, tailored pieces mixed with unstructured pieces, to create balance while feminine prints are juxtaposed against masculine silhouettes. Hand-embroidered printed sweaters and tops in slouchy neutral pastels are layered over skinny long and cropped trousers. Shirtdresses in sheer fabrics offset the more structured a-line dresses and long dramatic reassembled dress available. Structured coats and sleeveless tops round out the more tailored elements of the collection.

The liberty print is used within the collection by taking feminine elements and giving them a hardness and masculinity by cutting them apart and mixing them with black. The design used to create the caged neon sweater came about by changing the layout and color of a stitch used previously which created a different feel within the garment.

Materials include washed and hammered silks, cottons, cashmeres, wools, and rayon. The collection starts with a feminine palate of whites, nudes, and corals, ending with strong prints and blacks.
