British retailer Whistles Pre-fall 2012 collection defines the woman largely through a sporty motif, setting up a bold presence via a dark palette on richer fabric.  Highlights include a mint blouse and skirt, along with a peplum top, providing a touch of feminity to the collection.  Meanwhile, Whistles makes obvious a difference between fashion in the States and the UK, where UK retailers are unafraid to present harder-edged collections at more attainable price points, something more of the major American retailers could strive for.
